meet Karla
Karla lives with her family in small-town Wisconsin, where she is currently working on a new middle grade novel. She is also an active member of the Wisconsin chapter of the Society for Children's Books Writers and Illustrators. Karla frequently visits schools, bookstores, and libraries to talk about her work.

In addition to creating children's books, Karla has done a wide variety of freelance work. She's written greeting cards, textbooks, magazine articles, daily devotions, and more. She especially enjoys writing for mission-oriented nonprofit organizations.
